Meet the Midwives

With over twenty years of combined experience, Gina and Nedra are dedicated to providing safe, compassionate, and skilled midwifery care to the Denver metro area.

Nedra Hale is a Certified Professional Midwife and childbirth educator who has enjoyed successful and busy midwifery practices in both Arizona and Colorado since her licensure in 2008.

Nedra’s journey to midwifery began in the late nineties, when she became a certified childbirth educator. Soon, she began training as a birth doula, and discovered through this work that she believed she could better serve mothers and babies as a primary provider. Nedra attended the Arizona School of Midwifery and trained under wonderful, experienced midwives in Arizona, before practicing there. In 2011, Nedra moved to Colorado to care for her ailing mother, and began serving the home birth community in the Denver area as a Colorado Registered Midwife.

Nedra is the mother of four children, three of whom were born at home. When she is not busy working with moms and babies, she spends as much time as possible outside, hiking the beautiful Colorado trails. Nedra and her children enjoy learning through adventure at every opportunity, and when the weather isn’t ideal for adventure, she may be found sewing like mad to finish another project, or curled up with a book by the fire.

Gina Gerboth has been a midwife in Colorado since 2010. She is a Certified Professional Midwife (registered in the state of Colorado) and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. She is a core faculty member at Midwives College of Utah. She has presented locally and nationally at the Midwives Alliance of North America annual conference and online for Gold Midwifery and the National Association of Certified Professional Midwives.

Gina holds a Master of Public Health degree with a concentration in Maternal and Child Health from the Colorado School of Public Health, a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Colorado in Political Science with an emphasis in Women’s Studies (1995), and is completing the requirements for a Master of Midwifery degree at MCU, as well. She is conducting her applied project on interprofessional collaboration and interprofessional education during emergency home-to-hospital transports.

Gina is married to her high school sweetheart, and is the mother of three sons, two of whom were born at home. When not busy with her practice, family, teaching, or other responsibilities, she enjoys knitting, reading, and spending time relaxing with friends and family.

We will meet on Monday mornings at 9 am for our regular breastfeeding group. Come spend the morning with Gina, an IBCLC, and others who are on this crazy journey with you!

Testimonials

Gina delivered my little one in January 2019. She is very patient and kind. She was there through a lot of emotional stuff during and after my pregnancy. She is more than a midwife, she was a great source of support. I will 100% use her again if I have another baby. <3 Hooray for homebirth!

Ashley

I had a home birth in August 2016 with Gina. This was my 3rd home-birth at the time. Gina was knowledgeable, attentive, and so caring! She respected my birth plan, and my decision to decline certain care. When I found out I was pregnant with #4, I contacted her to see if she could fly into my new state to help me deliver! I am so thankful for the care that I received, and highly recommend her!
